As a leader in the underground mining industry, they are poised to embark upon an exciting phase of evolution and have created a new opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join their team based in Thornton.
This group is focused on sustainability and profitability as they head into their 25th year of business and this role is the ideal starting point for an enthusiastic and motivated graduate Accountant to move into a commercial environment.
YOUR NEW ROLE
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile company accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of Profit & Loss statements
- Reconciling monthly and year-end accounts and balance sheets
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts and reporting
- Ongoing review of ledgers and bank reconciliations
ABOUT YOU
- Completion or currently underway qualifications in accounting
- Ambition, drive, and the willingness to get involved and become a key member of the Finance/Accounts team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to cope with deadlines
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude and enjoy working independently, as well as proactively as part of a team to achieve company goals.
