Due to our growth, the business needs a full-time Business Services graduate accountant.
About the Position
The role of the graduate accountant is to provide the full range of compliance accounting and tax services to our diverse range of business and high net worth clients as well as to assist with strategic accounting & advisory work.
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Preparing individual tax returns with multiple sources of income and various deductions;
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships conducting business and investment activities;
- Preparing IAS and BAS;
- Preparing PAYG Payment Summaries / STP Finalisation, Payroll Tax annual reconciliations, and Workers Compensation wage declarations;
- Preparing Self Managed Superannuation Funds for audit;
- Communicating directly with clients and other external contacts;
- Assisting with strategic accounting and advisory work.
Desired Experience and Skills
The following skills and experience are preferable:
- Completed a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting and/or tax in Australia;
- Commenced or planning to commence the CA or CPA program;
- A strong desire to learn and develop.
