This opportunity is based at our Singleton Office, strategically located in the heart of the Hunter Valley region. While your primary operations will be centred here, frequent travel across the diverse landscapes of the Hunter Region and broader NSW will be required.
Key tasks will include maintenance, calibration and repair of real time air quality, weather station and, environmental surveillance and water monitoring equipment. You must have a curious mind, with a strong attention to detail when reviewing data to identify any issues early, whilst being a hands a self-starter to provide hardware fixes when required.
Training in the company's procedures will be undertaken by our experienced and friendly Managing Director and Technology Manager to make sure the successful applicant can complete all tasks in a safe, accurate and efficient manner and continue their career progression.
Environmental monitoring using real time technology is a rapidly growing field and now is a great time to commence a long career in this field!

- Be available to work full workday with work hours being flexible to balance your requirements and company schedules.
- Have a current manual Drivers Licence and feel comfortable driving a 4WD utility.
- Have a strong attention to detail, genuine care and passion everything you do.
- Be physically fit, self-motivated and able to function in a team environment.
- Be willing and able to pass pre employment medicals, noting we have a no-tolerance drug and alcohol policy (with random testing).
Desirable, but not essential are an understanding of:
- Environmental legislation and monitoring
- Strong IT literacy
- Industrial protocols (modbus, RS485-232, SDI-12, 4-20mA, various sensors)
- Extra low voltage telemetry system design
- Experience providing technical support for customers
- Experience with radio/satellite/cell
- SCADA networks & packages
- IoT networks
Desirable Accreditation or demonstrated experience with in any of ( or similar fields):
- Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic/ IT or Environmental degree or trade qualification
Remuneration will be awarded based on qualifications and any experience. Role will be supplied 4WD utility for business use following a 6-month training period.
