About this role
Make a difference by supporting our graduate registered nurses within the clinical area and provide innovative education during their study day program. Forge collaborative relationships with the other educators, Clinical Managers and staff across the hospital to drive educational progress that underpins high standards of care delivery.
In collaboration with the Clinical Education Coordinator - Wards, you will be expected to plan, deliver and execute Graduate Nurse study days, deliver training during hospital orientation program and coordinate nursing student clinical placements. You will also offer bedside assistance for GNP's and other nurses when required, and engage in hospital wide BLS education and assessment.
About You:
Pre- requisites
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- At least 4 years FTE acute clinical experience
Desirable
- Experience in education/facilitation
- A qualification in adult education / Training and Assessment (or working towards)
You will need to demonstrate the following:
- Core nursing values: patient-centred care, trust, respect
- Strong leadership, communication and clinical skills
- Proficiency in the NSQHS Standards
- Ability to plan and execute performance improvement projects
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Act as a competent nursing role model
Hours: Permanent part time role - 60 hrs per fortnight (Flexibility in start times to suit hospital needs)
