Graduate Plant Engineer – Yarraville

The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Graduate Engineer to join our Gyprock team within the engineering division. Working closely with our Engineering Manager you will be trained not only in plant management and engineering skills but also contribute towards engineering solutions and business innovation projects. This valuable experience will provide the opportunity for you to gain exposure in all areas of Gyprock manufacturing covering root cause analysis, design, implementation and management of site capital and process improvement programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of trade & technical personnel
- Manage project deliverables to schedule and stated costs
- Actively support process improvements via identified capital projects both major and minor
- Generate purchase orders and manage supplier performance
- Drive cost reducing activities via project and process improvement delivery
- Actively participate and improve the Preventative Maintenance System
- Contribute to the Improvement of the Maintenance System and support LEAN programs
- Support engineering solutions and participate in business innovation projects to ensure business targets are meet and exceeded
- Participate in toolbox meeting as part of PPM process
- Support WHSE compliance for site to CSR standards and Government Legislation
- Communicate with key stakeholders
Skills & Qualifications
As a successful candidate, you will be a hands-on individual with:
- A degree in Engineering (mechanical or mechatronics) OR
- Completed by end of calendar year 2022
- CAD capabilities e.g. AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal skills
Hours of Work
Flexible Working Hours between Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 4:00pm
