About the Role:
We are inviting applications for the role of Procurement and Grants Officer within an Australian Government Department, suitable for individuals at the APS5 and APS6 levels. This pivotal role involves contributing to the design and implementation of Grants and grant programs. The position offers the unique opportunity to work in an ultra-modern office located in the Canberra Civic for 2-3 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of Grants and grant programs, collaborating with policy areas across the Branch and Division as required.
- Prepare and effectively communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences in various styles, including reports, ministerial submissions, correspondence, and presentations.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight timeframes.
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to team culture.
Essential Criteria:
- Must hold a security clearance, Baseline or NV1.
- Experience in a grants or procurement team is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
Desirable:
- Experience working within the Australian Public Service (APS) environment.
- Knowledge of government procurement and grant processes.
