About the role:
We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Greenhouse Maintenance Assistant to become a valued member of our team. In this role, you'll report directly to the Facilities and Maintenance Assistant, contributing to the upkeep of our greenhouses and nurturing our plants.
Ideal for someone passionate about horticulture and agriculture, this position provides an excellent platform for honing your skills in these fields.
About the role:
- Be familiar with and adhere to all site safety procedures and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with handling and security of product.
- Conduct regular inspections of all equipment within the greenhouse to identify any signs of damage or malfunction.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to upkeep the greenhouse infrastructure, including minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, structures, and systems, ensuring everything functions efficiently.
- Looking after sanitation protocols throughout the greenhouse to prevent the spread of pests and diseases, including regular cleaning of bug boxes and filters to maintain a healthy growing environment.
- Remain vigilant and prepared to respond promptly and effectively to any things that may arise within the greenhouse, following established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of all personnel and assets.
- Carry out all reasonable instructions from your manager and the senior management team, and within your capability.
Operating hours:
The hours will be 6 am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
About You:
This will suit a candidate who has worked in greenhouses or nurseries and is familiar with the environment. You should be highly adaptable and be able to work with a close-knit team.
For the right candidate you will have the opportunity to develop your cultivation skills and assist in maintaining plant life.
