An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Part-Time Grocery Sales Rep to join our team selling both iconic and traditional brands as well as new and innovative products. The ideal candidate will have a strong Sales background, with experience selling within Corporate / Independent Groceries or Pharmacies.
The primary purpose of the role is to effectively manage, promote and sell our clients' products within the Grocery / Pharmacy Retail trade in order to maximise brand exposure, sales volumes and profits.
Key responsibilities:
- Selling, negotiation, and objection handling skills
- Managing a client base of Grocery Retailers
- Achieving sales and volume budgets
- Growing the client base and developing new business opportunities
- Building and maintaining outstanding relationships with all groups and store owners in your territory
- Innovative Visual Merchandising skills utilising display material and activating in store promotions.
- Execution and development of accurate Planograms / Shelf Management
- Providing retailers with increased awareness and product knowledge
To be successful in the role you will need to have:
- A demonstrated Sales background in Grocery or Pharmacy with strong selling experience
- Experience in Sales Rep role servicing Independents and / or Pharmacy is an advantage.
- FMCG experience is preferred but not essential.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Given the autonomous nature of this role, you are comfortable working independently.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, ability to operate iPad / iPhone and internet knowledge.
- The capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
- A genuine passion for achieving goals and developing the business through your negotiation, selling and merchandising skills.
- Available to do regional trips.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
