Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design, project management and construction, maintenance, technical inspections and aerodrome surveys, operational readiness, airport security, training, regulatory compliance, audits and ongoing daily operations.
About the role
Aerodrome Management Services is currently seeking experienced casual Ground Handlers for various regional and remote locations. Rostering arrangements are subject to site requirements with the point of hire being Perth.
Working within the AMS ground handling team to promote and achieve safe, timely and efficient ground handling and airport services. Duties include coordinating the loading and unloading of all passengers, baggage and freight of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, assisting with the overall turnaround of aircraft in accordance with operator schedules, receipt and dispatch of all aircraft, check-in of all outbound and transiting passengers and ensure adherence to travel policy and procedures.
About you
AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you’ll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:
- At least 1-year proven experience in a Ground Handling role
- Experience of aerodrome ramp operations
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work well unsupervised and in a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Current manual drivers license
- A professional attitude and personal presentation standards
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience in load control, ramp management and receipt and dispatch of various aircraft types
- Ability to obtain ASIC
- Working knowledge of MOS139, CASR and associated aviation operating procedures (desirable)
