Linden Park Primary School is a large school of 970 enrolments situated in the Burnside Council area, over two sites; the main school on Hay Road and another oval facility on Mariner Street. Linden Park Primary School has a diverse and inclusive international student population from 70 different cultures with over 100 staff.
Qualifications & experience
- Responding to Risks of Harm, abuse and neglect – education and care (RRAHN) Master class training.
- Department of Human Services (DHS) child related employment screening; Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Department for Education Authority to Work.
- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Experience in grounds management tasks, and operating and maintaining a range of grounds equipment, Experience in developing and maintaining landscaped gardens & ovals.
- Knowledge and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment; and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation
- Ability to use common IT applications for purposes such as entering data into spreadsheets, maintenance helpdesk, on-line product research, and email communication.
Tasks & responsibilities
- This position involves working alongside a senior Groundsman to maintain all grounds, ovals & gardens. Manage repairs & maintenance of equipment, furniture & assets. Provide routine waste management & disposal. Ensure building security & WHS standards are maintained.
