They are currently seeking Tracks & Grounds Maintenance Attendants to join their team and uphold their commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
In this sought-after role, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting grounds maintenance tasks such as irrigation repairs, fencing, general racecourse upkeep, and facility repairs.
- Restoring the course after gallops and race meetings, including grass training track repairs like divot replacement, patching divot holes, re-turfing, and raking.
- Adjusting running rails for race meetings and performing repairs on all track rails.
- Performing external cleaning of facilities, using equipment like blowers or hoses on hard surfaces, and managing waste removal.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but a motivated willingness to learn is also valued.
- Basic understanding of equine racing and training surfaces is beneficial, with support available for transitioning from other industries.
- Proficiency in operating tractors, ATVs, and small machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with agricultural and turf machinery used in preparing racing and training surfaces is advantageous.
- Physical fitness and a willingness to work outdoors for extended periods are essential.
