This is a newly created role and has been created due to company growth, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working in a Finance Team of team of seven.
Your new role will involve assisting the Finance Manager with supervising the daily tasks of the Junior Finance Team members including;
- Daily supervision of junior accounting staff (five team members)
- Managing the month end accounting process
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Assisting with the preparation and reporting of monthly board packs
- Providing reports and analysis as required with reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly corporate taxes including quarterly business activity statements (BAS), Income tax, corporate taxes
- Liaising with external Auditors
- Partnering with the business internal stakeholders to support other financial related processes or initiatives
- Qualified Accountant CA/CPA preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience within a public practice accounting firm essential
- Experience using ERP system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Strong excel and data analysis skills
- High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports
- The ability to form strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
