They have a rare job opportunity available for a sharp and talented Group Accountant to join their Adelaide office, where their culture focuses on building relationships and providing opportunities.

The Role :
As the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for business partnering with internal and external stakeholders as well as be responsible for day-to-day accounting.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly / annual reports tracking financial performance against budget.
• Statutory reporting and audit engagement.
• Accountable for delivering TAX/BAS/FBT/CGT, etc.
• Annual budgeting and cashflow forecast preparation.
• Variance analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecasts.
• Drive improvements in effectiveness and efficiencies in associated financial processes.
• Detailed analysis of key drivers of performance to support decision-making
• Assist with asset and major expenditure procurement.

Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualified with minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting / financial reporting.
• Experience in the Agricultural industry is advantageous.
• Advanced EXCEL Skills and Power BI experience.
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting
• Demonstrated experience in bigger-picture thinking and sound decision-making abilities 
• Solid understanding of financial systems, SAGE 300, and processes
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
• Detail-oriented & committed team player
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Valid driving licence and the ability to travel intra and interstate
