Group Events Manager.
We are looking for a passionate and energetic full-time Events Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Events Department, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and managing a team of event coordinators at our head office in Surry Hills.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Reservations, Events and Relationships, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating events across six of our award-winning restaurants. From the enquiry and quoting stage, to the planning process and final hand-over to the venue teams, you will ensure all event guests are provided with the highest of service standards, while meeting department targets and managing stakeholder expectations. You, along with the team of three to four event coordinators, will be responsible for group bookings and events ranging from small gatherings of 14 guests to weddings and corporate events for 300 guests.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a restaurant-based Events Manager role.
- Leadership experience in a high-volume environment with a solution driven and guest-focused approach.
- Exceptional guest service skills with polish and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail with a sense of urgency.
- The ability to forge strong connections and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent team manager and trainer.
- Strong administration skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
