Job description

The Group Facilitator represents FIH at conferences, presentations, network meetings and primarily facilitates in-person and online group financial wellbeing workshops and webinars, they also assist with individual support to facilitate participant referrals into the hub. The role requires intra and interstate travel and is undertaken in person and online from GSANZ offices, stakeholder colocation sites and work from home.

 

About The Role

  • Full Time, Max Term Contract until 31 December 2024
  • SCHADS Level 5
  • Good Shepherd office and colocation sites across Melbourne CBD, Sydney or Brisbane with regular interstate travel

 

About You

  1. A tertiary qualification or relevant work experience in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, Community Services, Financial Capability, Financial Counselling or an equivalent field
  2. Experience in community services, financial capability, financial counselling or similar
  3. Experience in delivering presentations, workshops and webinars
  4. Experience in responding to and phone, email and face to face enquiries, intake and assessment
  5. Experience and understanding of domestic and family violence including financial abuse - people with a personal or professional understanding of the experience of financial abuse, domestic and family violence are strongly encouraged to apply
  6. Experience in the application of trauma informed practice
  7. Experience navigating complex service systems, identifying suitable referral pathways and facilitating warm referrals that align with participant goals.
  8. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, including an ability to quickly build rapport
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team and maintain networks of partners and contracted service providers
  10. Experience working with diverse groups and cultures and understanding intersectionality
