Reporting into the Head of Finance of this ASX listed group, this Group Financial Controller role presents an opportunity to join a great organisation in a highly visible, broad and rewarding role.
With the support of a high-quality team, you'll be responsible for all finance operational functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, Management Accounting and Licensing.
This role requires someone that is a change agent and enjoys leading and driving on transformational change and driving automation and best practice within the finance team. This role has a large offshore team in the Philippines therefore some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities
- Monthly revenue, expenditure and balance sheet analysis.
- Management of group balance sheet and operational cash flow.
- Timely preparation and analysis of monthly management results, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Assisting in group audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Management of the finance operations team including AR, AP, banking and GL and licensing.
- Owner of group chart of account and data segmentation. Ensure maintenance of all fields and adherence.
- Drive a culture of cash compliance across the organization and reporting on key operational cash metrics.
- Developing and implementing effective financial controls, policies and processes.
- Drive efficiencies and automation within the finance operations team function including system automation, standardisation and process documentation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Owner of finance intranet to assist with employee experience of all finance related material, policies and how to guides.
- Review of finance processes and implementation of improvements to drive productivity.
- Development and monitoring of finance operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Building a positive team culture, developing team members through coaching and focus on creating a high performing team.
- Take a proactive and hands-on approach in resolving finance matters which arise within the team and across the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency is achieved with any implemented changes.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 10+ years of experience leading change and transformation in Finance teams.
- 5+ years of experience leading Finance teams.
- Ability to drive transformation and change projects.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CA, CPA, or CFA.
- Previous experience in finance or operations roles, preferably in a technology or startup environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems)
