This technology is supported by a group of professionally registered and chartered team of multi-disciplinary Engineers (Biochemical, Chemical, Electro-Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Petroleum, Thermodynamic and Structural) who can deliver turn-key systems through the organisation’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) business.
These custom-engineered systems provide highly efficient energy solutions in the commercial, industrial, rural, utilities, mining and residential energy sectors, and incorporate renewable energy production systems (such as wind, solar PV and thermal, geothermal, biogas, biomass etc.) coupled with Energy Storage Systems that utilise a patented hydrogen storage and conversion system and a high energy density hybrid supercapacitor system.
The group also owns a research and developments company, registered with the Australian Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources under the Industry Research and Development Act. They employ 9 post-Doctorate researchers who are experienced in assessing, researching, designing, constructing, commissioning, testing and auditing distributed and/or centralised renewable energy systems utilising proven thermodynamic and fiscal energy optimisation design principles that exceed the most stringent of international standards.
They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Raising Manager to join the organisation. Reporting to the CEO you will be a pivotal partner in shaping the organisation’s debt and equity capital markets strategy. You will play a crucial role in securing capital for a wide range of projects, maintaining relationships with investors, and overseeing the capitalization strategy. You will have the opportunity to leverage your vast networks as you focus on Capital Raising from Private Equity, Venture Capital, Institutional investors, professional investors and high net worth individuals. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of the financial markets, exceptional networking skills, and a strong background in renewable energy.
What will you do?
- Develop and execute the debt and equity capital strategy: Take the lead in formulating and implementing the company's equity capital strategy, identifying potential funding sources, and structuring equity deals to support the organisation’s renewable energy projects.
- Identify and build relationships with investors: Proactively source and cultivate relationships with potential equity partners to expand the company’s investor network and secure capital commitments.
- Conduct market research and analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, industry dynamics, and investment opportunities within the renewable energy sector. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify potential investment targets and evaluate their financial viability.
- Prepare and present investment materials: Create compelling investment presentations to effectively communicate the investment thesis and value proposition of projects to potential equity investors.
- Manage investor relations: Serve as the point of contact for equity investors, maintaining strong relationships and providing updates on investment performance.
- Coordinate and manage regional & international schedules for investor presentations with the CEO.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, acquisitions, finance, and legal, to align capitalization strategies with project requirements and overall business objectives.
- Monitor and report on market trends: Monitor key economic indicators, capital markets, and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities and risks that may impact the firm's capitalization strategies. Present market insights and recommendations to the CEO.
- Negotiate and structure equity deals: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and external partners to negotiate favourable equity investment terms and structures.
- Identify business lines and opportunities that may align with capital sources.
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, finance, business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree well regarded.
- Proven track record in equity capital markets, investment banking, private equity, or a similar role within the renewable energy sector sector.
- Strong network of relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, VC and high-net-worth individuals.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of equity financing, capital markets, and investment structures within the renewable energy sector.
- Ability to travel domestically and overseas on a frequent basis.
- Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in equity capital markets.
