Your duties will include:
- Lead the Intelligence, Investigation and Analytics product domain ensuring products and services meet the current and future needs of the business
- Experienced in Big Data, you will be responsible for harnessing its power to drive insights, make informed decisions, and propel Victoria Police forward.
- Lead, coach, mentor and develop a cross functional team of ICT specialists.
- Significantly contribute to the development of overarching technology strategies and roadmaps ensuring optimised solution, product, and service delivery across domain.
- Ensure that an end-to-end view of technology products is achieved consistent with the future business need, VicPol enterprise architecture and leverage best practice technologies and practices available in the market.
- Develop and implement the product roadmaps ensuring service continuity and effectiveness to enable the achievement of operational and strategic business goals across multiple stakeholders
- Provide high level expert and authoritative advice to the executive on technical, commercial, policy and legislative matters related to the management of the assigned domain.
- Develop and maintain effective key partnerships, including internal stakeholders; service providers; other Government Departments and associated agencies.
- Conduct appropriate research as required, maintaining a sound understanding of relevant and emerging technologies.
- Group Management including staff leadership, tasking, and unit scope.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in leading an information and Analytics technology product group
- Proven capacity to lead, mentor and coach a team of specialists, embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data collection, storage, and processing using cutting-edge technologies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, optimisation, and automation to enhance data management and analysis capabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in big data technologies, tools, and methodologies, and propose innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the preparation and provision of responsive, clear and concise specialist advice, recommendations and solutions both verbally and in writing through effective research, negotiation and consultation with stakeholders
