Batman's Hill on Collins is a 4-star hotel in Melbourne, offering an ideal city stay for corporate, leisure and group travel guests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. The hotel features 190 rooms and apartments, a fully equipped conference centre with 10 function spaces, two restaurants and a bar. Two of our three towers are heritage buildings, providing our guests with unique accommodation. Offering impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, Batman's Hill on Collins is the ideal accommodation and food & beverage venue for guests visiting the city for leisure or work.
We are looking for a part-time Guest Service Agent who has a passion for engaging with and assisting guests and colleagues. You will be assisting the Front Office Duty Manager with the daily tasks on the Front Desk. This role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Melbourne, and to join the Accor group of hotels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a unique and personalized guest experience for each guest at our hotel by creating rapport with guests and using creative and personal ways to exceed guest expectations.
- Assisting reservations with booking requests
- Taking and directing all incoming calls
- Providing Concierge service, including giving insight to local activities and assisting in tour booking requests
- Assisting guests with luggage to and from their room
- Maintaining the presentation of the front desk and hotel lobby
Qualifications
- Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, afternoons,evenings, weekends and public holidays. Occasional overnight shifts may be required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills
- Knowledge of the RMS property management system would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make recommendations to guests is desirable but not essential
- You must have current working rights in Australia - student visa holders are encouraged to apply. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
