About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Guest Services Officer to join our team. 

This is a permanent full-time position, with a regular roster of Tuesday to Saturday during regular office hours.

As Guest Services Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering exceptional customer service to all guests with a friendly, professional manner and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Promoting and upselling marina products, services, and offerings from our operators and tenants.
• Engaging with current and potential customers to extend their stays through the sales process.
• Addressing guest complaints promptly, finding suitable solutions within set timeframes, and ensuring follow-up for resolution.
• Reporting maintenance needs, security issues, safety concerns, and other relevant matters through appropriate channels.
• Providing accurate and timely information to internal and external inquiries with efficiency and proactivity.
• Mastering the Marina Management System (MMS) for data entry and managing guest/vessel profiles.
• Fulfilling all daily duties, services, and responsibilities as outlined for the position.
• Conducting vessel greetings and daily dockwalks as necessary.

To be considered for the position of Guest Services Officer, you are required to have:

• Proven track record in customer service positions.
• Prior experience in a boating/marina setting.
• Familiarity with the Whitsundays region.
• Exceptional computer skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new software applications.
• Proficiency in recognising and addressing challenges with initiative.
• Excellent administration skills with proven ability for attention to detail.
• Strong skills in communication, team building, motivation, and problem solving.
