Launching ten years ago in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Supernormal is the multi-award-winning venue and the brainchild of critically acclaimed Australian restaurateur, Andrew McConnell. Supernormal’s menu reflects Andrew’s five-year stretch heading up kitchens in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and deftly combines elements of Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisine with the best in seasonal local produce. In June 2024, we’re bringing that DNA to the Maiwar with a uniquely Brisbane quality.
About the Role:
This key management position will see you drive revenue generation through diligent guest relationship management and a drive to achieve strong event sales for one of Melbourne’s most-beloved restaurants.

Supernormal Brisbane is the first venue for Trader House outside of our Melbourne home, and will open in mid 2024. The restaurant, designed by Sydney-based architects ACME, will be sympathetic to its surrounds – light-filled, textured, with high ceilings and glass frontage to make the most of its incredible riverfront location. Situated within a ground-breaking, eco-progressive and Green Star certified building at 443 Queen Street created for the Brisbane climate, the building catches the breezes and shade from the sun with living, subtropical gardens, and is the gateway between the city and the buzzing river-side precinct.
Supernormal Brisbane's menu will feature classics from its Melbourne counterpart, alongside new dishes that explore local produce and connect with Queensland’s farmers, fishers and foragers.
