As our Guest Support Officer reporting to the Patron Liaison Manager, you will drive the implementation of safer gambling initiatives and support our valued guests in making informed decisions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students, graduates and professionals looking to join our Safe Gaming team in Sydney on a full time or part time basis and contribute to fostering a safer gambling culture at The Star.
A few of your responsibilities
- Provide empathetic support to guests experiencing challenges related to gambling
- Promote safer gambling practices through proactive communication
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance safety measures and awareness
What we are looking for
- Experience in guest relations, Responsible Gambling programmes, Hospitality, support services, social work, security, education
- Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships, understanding of applicable laws, regulations, policy, relevant codes, safer gambling strategy and supporting information as they relate to the company
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and show innovative thinking
As a Guest Support Officer, you will drive the implementation of safer gambling initiatives and support our valued guests in making informed decisions. The role requires availability to work across all shifts (morning, day and night).
You will draw upon your love for interaction and problem solving, along with your ability to empathise with others, to confidently assess and implement a range of suitable and timely supportive measures
