We are currently looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our portfolio in the Mount Isa region of North Western QLD. The Positions Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Lunch, and / or Dinner and Desserts Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimum Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards Managing catering team performance and employee development The Person Chef Qualifications / Cert III in Commercial Cookery Experience within bulk catering environments Excellent knowledge of all commercial kitchen procedures and operations Experience in menu writing, rostering and cost control Experience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelines The Benefits Various roster options are available, including either 14 days on and 7 days off, or 8 days on and 6 days off; and fly in fly out opportunities are available for the successful candidates.
