We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine to lead & inspire the backbone of the Culinary scene in our Commissary kitchen/Team Dining Room. Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, you will lead a team of 50+ chefs and front-of-house team members.
Our Culinary team prides itself on our product, as a result, the team runs an extensive product line to cater to 12 outlets including, Retail, Casual, Premium Dining & Banquets with a basic line of recipes & bulk supplies. This also includes catering over 2,000+ hot & cold meals for our valued internal customers, our team members!

Key responsibilities in the role are but are not limited to:
- Partner with the different outlets of The Star, to ensure that the produced items support the efficiency of our culinary operations
- Handle labour and food cost budgets
- Stock control and production planning
- Write and implement new menu items including presentation and recipe development
- Recruit, train, develop and inspire your team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- 5+ years in a similar role within a 5-star hotel, Commissary kitchen or large production environment will be ideal to your success in the role
- Experience managing a large and diverse team
- Sound knowledge of Asian and European/Australian cooking styles
- Ability to work in a large corporate environment, using different computer systems and the skills to partner with different stakeholders
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and production environment.
