The Role

Reporting to the Venue Manager, and working closely with the Group Executive Chef, this role presents the opportunity to utilise your leadership and culinary skills. You will lead a team that is dedicated to providing the best service and showcasing regional, local produce.

Key Responsibilities

• Menu development and operational planning;
• Stock management and control within the budgeted parameters;
• Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative environment within your team;
• Oversee processes to ensure tasks are completed correctly and to quality standards;
• Recruitment and training of kitchen staff;
• Ensure compliance of internal policies and procedures and ensure the relevant statutory requirements are met; and
• Foster and develop a high performing culture within your kitchen team, built on respect, passion, development inclusion and education/training.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef that is ready to step up and excel their career.

• Experience as a Head Chef and proven leadership experience;
• Obtained a minimum Certificate III in commercial cookery;
• Confident in rostering and menu costing;
• Stock management and inventory control;
• Produce modern high quality meals whilst keeping up with culinary trends;
• Remain level-headed under pressure in a fast paced environment; and
• Strong desire to lead a team and motivate others.
