This premium pub group are on the lookout for a standout Head Chef & Sous Chef to head up a new Sydney city venue. Champion the food offering within your venue and make a name for yourself.
Here’s what you’ll need –
A minimum 2 years experience as a Head Chef in a busy pub kitchen with a CV showing position progression and cookery qualifications.
Be passionate about the industry and have a strong interest in staying abreast of food trends.
Research concepts and products, write fully costed menus, liaise with suppliers, conduct monthly stocktakes, manage cogs.
Be strong on both prep and service with availability to join your team working days, weekends and nights on a 7-day rotating roster.
Scale up or down in-line with business pace while maintaining a quality product delivered on the plate.
Have the ability to recruit, lead, motivate and roster your brigade.
Be energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to manage upwards and downwards.
Form strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
Be organised, motivated, responsible, accountable and be accustomed to meeting deadlines.
Maintain food safety standards and hold current certification.
Have strong administration skills and be computer proficient.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - English is a must.
The Sous Chef will be expected to support the Head Chef in all of the above.
You must have full working rights in Australia.
