Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
The College is seeking to appoint a Head of Snowsports. This appointment is commencing in April 2024 until August 2024 and is paid via Premium Allowance.
Snowsports is a unique opportunity in the suite of sport offerings for Wesley Students and their families. It is conducted primarily during term 3 and classified as a spring sport. There is a considerable administrative element to engage with external sporting bodies prior to term 3 and our broader College community. There is also a requirement to manage students in a potentially challenging environment and mitigate the risks associated with it in conjunction with the Sports Directorate policies and procedure. The role will have a premium allowance associated with it and will have admin support through the sports directorate.
* Working with students and families from P – 12 across the College
* Proven experience in the alpine environment.
* Capable skier/snowboarder
* Previous experience in the Victorian Interschools Snowsports preferred.
* Previous sport program or team leadership experience.
* Ability to work closely with a PSG
* Organisational and administrative skills
* Reports to Head of Sport
