Form of workWe are undertaking a search and selection process on behalf of an industry leading ASX listed healthcare business with a fantastic workplace culture to identify their future Head of Accounts Payable. Based in the inner-eastern suburbs, they employ over 9,000 people under several different Enterprise Agreements (EA’s) across the states in which they operate. This critical appointment will form part of the senior leadership team and have a genuine opportunity for career advancement in this large, complex, well-known business.
About the Position
The Head of Accounts Payable will present with strong leadership experience; managing and motivating others will come naturally to you. In this position, you will work closely with the senior executive leadership group, including the General Manager of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. The Head of Account's Payable will be willing to be 'hands-on' and, simultaneously, capable of leading a small team and driving change through process and systems.
Responsibilities will initially include:
- Lead Accounts Payable team for accurate and timely invoice payments.
- Manage Corporate Credit Card Policy and program, including reporting.
- Oversee employee reimbursement process and internal training.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and set SLAs.
- Develop reporting for decision-making and budgeting.
- Lead transformative programs for efficiency and control improvements.
- Manage external and internal audit engagements.
- Foster positive team culture and communication.
- Develop and coach high-performing team members.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Strong customer service orientation (internal and external customers)
The Head of Accounts Payable will enjoy working within a high-performance, friendly, team-based environment that requires people to be hands-on, versatile, open and accountable. It is likely that the successful candidate will come out of another listed entity or a similar environment. Demonstrated management experience, extensive Accounts Payable experience and strong soft skills are required with regular interaction to the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Directors.
