The position of Head of Agile Delivery is a vital part of our Digital Delivery team, responsible for facilitating technology delivery and advocating for Agile practices, values, and behaviours across various delivery squads and business functions. Collaborating closely with the Head of Product Ownership and Head of Software Engineering, and leading a team of Agile Delivery Leads, the Head of Agile Delivery operates at the program level, ensuring efficient and effective project execution to deliver business value for Lion to meet its strategic objectives.
Key Deliverables:
Lead quarterly prioritisation and planning sessions with Digital Delivery Director and Head of Product Ownership.
Facilitate the delivery of the program across multiple squads mitigating risks and dependencies.
Cultivate high-performing Agile culture with continuous improvement focus.
Define and track delivery success metrics such as lead time, velocity, predictability, and engagement.
Provide coaching and support for problem-solving and team enablement.
Serve as escalation point for delivery issues, manage Agile Delivery Leads, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
Experience coaching teams through Waterfall to Agile transition.
At least 5 years’ experience in end-to-end technology delivery in an Agile environment
Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) with Certified Agile Leadership or similar
Demonstrated capability in People or Technical Leadership.
Champion Agile ways of working, mindset and behaviours
Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities
Outstanding people leadership and influencing – ability to anticipate and solve delivery problems.
Experience in program or project delivery of SAP would be advantageous
