About the Role

The Head of Analytics will be accountable for developing and maintaining processes to leverage data and analytics to drive business value and innovation. To do this, you will lead the delivery of data analysis and insights to support OPD leaders in achieving business plan objectives and identify and address systemic trends and patterns affecting optimal operational and business performance.

In this critical role, you will provide effective leadership, management and coaching to a sizeable team to ensure each discipline works effectively as part of a high-performing team.

Reporting into the General Manager Performance Planning & Reporting, you will have the opportunity to build on your leadership experience with increased exposure to operational processes and working alongside a strong team of subject matter experts.

About You

You will be a highly effective communicator with proven leadership experience with exposure to strategic planning in a dynamic operating environment or similar background. In addition, you will possess:

• Understanding of data analytics, data visualisation and data storytelling best practices
• Understanding of data sharing, data privacy and data governance practices
• Demonstrated experience in a similar senior railway or transport operations role, in a highly regulated unionised environment.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills with C-Suite executives and sought information to understand the data and analytics that will be valuable for the executive to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and to monitor performance.
• Ability to take highly complex information and distil it into format and content that is easily understood and meaningful for stakeholders.
