YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Head of Commercial Excellence (COMEX), you will create, deploy & execute commercial brand strategies for Coty Australia & New Zealand, in all channels and for all brands. Reporting into the Sales Director Grocery & Pharmacy, you will also have influence and exposure to greater region of ANZ & UKI.
You will lead a function that sets and drives execution of the brand strategies across the market. Your understanding of the category trends and retail landscape and how to optimize commercial strategies & decisions will be critical to ensure Coty wins instore and online.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading, supporting and elevating capabilities of a cross discipline team of Commercial strategy & category managers.
- Building a trusted, collaborative partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including owning the external relationship with third part market data providers.
- Driving the creation, and deployment of Commercial & category strategies across the market.
- Leading the development of channel strategies to ensure maximum growth opportunities across the portfolio using a 4P's framework.
- Translating brand marketing initiatives into customer marketing actions.
- Establishing a strategic framework for planning, delivery and evaluation of promotional activations with a Strategic Revenue Management mindset.
- Leading financial and scan sales analysis to support ranging channel/category ranging priorities and space allocation recommendations.
- Driving the category insights relationship with key retailers using a variety of data inputs across scan, panel and loyalty data to understand their shopper.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT

- Proven Senior experience in both category management and sales/commercial roles, with strong experience in revenue management application, within a beauty category is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Financial modelling and outstanding analytical skills, turning data into insights that can help drive commercial decisions with Revenue Growth Mindset.
- Strong understanding of P&L's and which commercial levers impact their shape, with a mindset of continuous optimization and improvement.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction as ”best in class” implementation, with proven examples of thinking “out of the box” to develop new innovative solutions.
- Be able to manage through persuasion and influence. Inspire credibility. A visible mentor and coach.
- Believe in and demonstrate a customer-centric approach, firmly grounded in needs assessment leading to innovative solutions.
- Recognized as a person that builds strong internal and external relationships and able to strongly influence.
