About the Opportunity
The Head of Curriculum is responsible for role modelling, coaching, and mentoring the centre leadership team to strive for and achieve best practice in developing and delivering high quality educational program. In partnership with the Centre Manager, you will be delivering on key KPIs, driving the Aspire philosophy, vision and values and ensuring that the Centre is exceeding national quality standards.
About the Centre
Our service is a state-of-the-art facility with beautiful indoor and outdoor environments for children to learn and grow in. Our centre includes 6 spacious rooms that support children through their entire learning journey, from nursery to kindergarten.
Responsibilities
- Service Leadership & Management - Working in partnership with the Centre Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the service
- Mentor & Coach, the team to provide a high-quality curriculum and best practice - Assist the leadership team in the development, design, and implementation of educational programs
- Lead and develop high performing teams - Foster a positive organisational culture within the Centre & drive the distributed leadership model
- Networking, training and development - Identify needs for professional development and supports learning opportunities and organise networking and training opportunities for the team based on identified areas for improvement, further training and development.
- Relationships with Stakeholders, departments, and organisations - Oversee and collaborate with the Leadership team at your Centre.
- Support the Centre with the operational requirements with regards to planning and delivering a funded Kindergarten program
About you
You have:
- Prior experience in an Educational Leader or Management role
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or working towards) is necessary
- The ability to lead & motivate a large team
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families & employees
- Knowledge and understanding of Children's Services Regulations and National Quality Standards
- A current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma, Anaphylaxis training & valid Police Check, Food Handlers Certificate
