We do this by implementing several innovative practices and programs, including the Rugby League Engagement program.About the Role:An opportunity exists for a dedicated and innovative leader to lead the Health and Physical Education (HPE) faculty at Mareeba State High School.
As Head of the Department - Health and Physical Education, you will lead HPE faculty in line with school and department initiatives, participate in delivering the school's vision and develop the quality of teaching and learning at Mareeba State High School. You will also lead your team to ensure the effective organisation of sporting events and related curricular and extracurricular activities.Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives
- Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders
- Experience in leading others, will be able to work well with others in a team environment, will be organised and have good relational qualities to work in a rural town.
