About the Role:
As the Head of Department - The Arts, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative arts curriculum and pedagogy. Additionally, you will oversee our esteemed Creative Arts Academy and coordinate our vibrant Instrumental Music program.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
* Lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff in delivering a broad range of arts curriculum (Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Media Arts), with aligned pedagogy, assessment and moderation practices from year 7 through to 12.
* Coordinate the activities and initiatives of the Creative Arts Academy, fostering creativity and excellence among students.
* Showcase student artwork and performances in diverse community and public settings.
* Oversee the coordination and enhance the Instrumental Music program, providing opportunities for students to excel in music performance.
* Cultivate strong partnerships with staff, students, parents and the wider arts community / industry.
* Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes artistic growth and achievement.
