The Opportunity: As the Head of Finance, you'll lead a team of commercial managers in partnering with and supporting our content business units. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions and maximising earnings while delivering on performance targets.
What You'll Do:
- Provide strategic insights through trend and comparative analysis, shaping business decisions to optimise performance.
- Identify areas of strength and weakness in financial performance, driving forward-looking strategies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects that result in lasting positive impacts to the business.
- Develop long-term financial plans, integrating various scenario assumptions to enhance profit planning and budgeting.
- Oversee monthly financial reporting and analysis, including cash flow and working capital management.
- Prepare board papers for business unit updates, forecasts, and budgets.
- Provide support and leadership to a team of commercial managers and analysts, ensuring consistent high-level support to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to engage with and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, offering strategic guidance and support.
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis and Excel modeling.
- Experience in developing and driving strategic operating plans and forecasting.
- Experience leading high performing, productive and collaborative teams
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, including CA/CPA certification.
