The Head of Group Reporting is responsible for ensuring that Xero’s reporting is produced to the highest standard and communicated internally and externally succinctly and with meaningful insight to enable better decisions, allowing Xero to achieve its strategic objectives. This will be achieved with strong communication and relationships across finance and the business, as well as ensuring Xero’s reporting is fit for purpose now and for the future.
What you’ll do...
Lead the development of Xero’s internal financial reporting to respond to changes to the Group and the environment in ensuring Xero is seen as market leading.
Own the production of financial performance reporting to the SLT, XLT and Xero Board, working in partnership with the rest of Finance and the business to provide high quality clear and insightful information.
Develop the financial reporting to meet Xeros constantly changing requirements by driving improvement and strategic roadmaps, for example integrating M&A targets, integrating non-financial reporting, or providing better insight into new revenue streams.
Own the definitions and calculations of Xeros SaaS metrics in collaboration with the EGM Accounting.
Support the EGM Accounting in the preparation of Management Commentaries included in Xero’s Annual and interim reports, ensuring they are accurate and provide meaningful insight for investors and analysts into group performance and the execution of Xero’s strategy.
Ensure that documents produced conform to the high standards of accuracy and writing quality expected for this high profile market communication and is produced within the tight timeframes.
Manage a small direct team, as well as a a virtually team across finance to product results and drive continuous improvement.
Participate in significant corporate or company-wide finance projects and initiatives as directed by your manager, the Deputy CFO, and CFO LT
Experience...
At least 10 years' of relevant experience in a Big 4 CA environment, and/or proven experience in a corporate environment at a senior level, specific experience with software companies desirable.
