The Opportunity
Newly created, the Head of IT will take the lead in shaping and executing our technology roadmap which underpins the broader business and people strategy objectives, ensuring it remains resilient, robust, and scalable.
Agile and collegial in your style, you will work with key business leaders to support a portfolio of businesses. You will use your strong change management and leadership skills to ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality routine business services and key strategic initiatives – on time and within budget.
The role requires a broad strategic and operational IT capability and will see you focus on:
- Review and implementation of a new, forward-looking IT strategy
- Developing and driving plans and projects, which deliver on the organisation's IT strategy
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across the group including Cyber, Enterprise Architecture, Application Development & Project Delivery
- Overall financial management of the organisation's technology investment
- Leading the vision, leadership and governance of the ICT strategy and architecture, ensuring alignment with wider business strategy
- Reviewing and assessing fit-for-purpose IT vendors
- Taking a key role in the tender and selection process for IT vendors
- Leading, mentoring and developing an established team
- Management of IT risk strategies and compliance policy frameworks
- Transformation/change management to drive efficiency across the IT systems and processes
What are we looking for?
Highly engaging, you are pragmatic and appreciate the importance of connecting with stakeholders and balancing the needs of the business. An experienced leader you will also have:
- Previous experience driving and delivering an IT transformation program of work (Cloud based ERP programs e.g. Pronto, SAP and others)
- Formal qualification in Commerce/IT or related discipline (desirable) with working knowledge of cyber security best practice and data protection regulations
- Strong vendor and project management experience
- Flexible approach, ability to adapt within a fast-paced environment
- Commercially attuned to the business landscape to drive and influence outcomes
- Experience in managing complex integrated IT environments
- Extensive knowledge of application software technologies, products, and services
