We have a rare opportunity to join the General Mills marketing team, as the Head ofWorld Foods (Old El Paso). In this role you will be an organisational leader with brand management, marketing communications and commercial skills, who will develop execute marketing strategies that deliver on our growth ambition and have full P&L ownership.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director for ANZ, you will lead a talented team of 5 marketers as well as a cross functional Market Acceleration Team that will deliver to business objectives. As the successful candidate you will work closely with our central development team in Europe as well as in the US.

Key focus areas for this role:
- Create a compelling vision for the brand for consumer, customer and inspiring the business to deliver against it
- Develop a strong brand strategy and ambition across the 4P’s
- P&L accountability and decision making
- Organisational leadership cross functionally, leading a high performing, senior team across Supply Chain, Finance, category, strategic revenue manages and marketing. Liaising strongly with manufacturing sites and R&D.
- Lead local and regional teams to execute brand strategies that deliver the brand’s growth ambitions
- Influencers across levels, functions and geographies to unlock barriers and deliver growth
- Strong consumer centricity in everything we do
- Steward the diverse portfolio and develop and deliver innovation and margin expansion goals
- Strong communications and creative centricity that unlocks consumer facing ideas that trigger purchase and build brand equity
- Coach and mentor within the marketing function, inspiring others and building capability
- Be available for evening calls during the week as we partner across Europe and US
What you will bring:
- An experienced marketer with general management ambitions
- 7+ years marketing/general management experience with FMCG already at a senior level
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or Commerce
- Leadership skills
- A Strategic Thinker and Storytelling
- Able to set vision and galvanise a team
- A strong communicator that can articulate with clarity, influence widely, navigate a matrix organisation
- A Decisive, pragmatic, problem solver
- Ability to influence and proactively foster relationships internally and externally
