Quinn Allan is excited to partner with an impressive international renewables developer and power producer, to recruit a critical, newly created role in the Australian business. Our client is building a pipeline of large scale solar, wind and storage assets that they will develop, construct, own and operate themselves.
About the Position
Reporting to the Country Manager and working closely with the Head of Investment, the Head of Energy Markets will play a crucial role in driving the successful revenue strategy and commercialisation of renewable energy projects.
You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential energy and power purchase agreement PPA revenue opportunities, negotiating terms and executing agreements with off-takers, including utilities, commercial and industrial customers, and other relevant stakeholders. You will also develop commercial offtake strategies that optimise finance, equity, and returns for a portfolio of projects.
About You
- Extensive experience (5-10+ years) in Energy Markets, power purchase agreement management or related roles within the renewable energy industry.
- Understanding of the Australian energy market, regulatory landscape, and power procurement mechanisms.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating and executing complex commercial agreements.
- Analytical, financial modelling, and risk management capabilities.
- Ability to build relationships of credibility at all levels.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, and communicator, with the demonstrated experience engaging teams, partners, commercial counterparts and stakeholders (including off-takers, government agencies, and industry associations).
