Overview
Seeking a Head of Operations to lead and optimise our current group of five Childcare Centres and help to direct our expansion and growth across the Central Coast and Newcastle areas. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional operational leadership and mentoring skills. A passion for excellence to assist in the provision of outstanding and excellent quality childcare services and a proven track record in operational efficiency and team management. A significant part of the role is to partner with the CEO and Senior leadership Team and implement operational long and short-term objectives, aligning with organisational goals and governance.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strong leadership to the operations team by demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a hands-on approach.
• Drive initiatives to create a best-in-class experience for employees, stakeholders, children, and parents. Foster and build trusted long-term relationships.
• Oversee operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes met using strong communication skills.
• Ensure effective recruiting and onboarding, professional development, performance and conflict management and retention.
• Assessing and enhancing the efficiency of internal and external operational processes and oversee the daily business and administrative operations for optimal efficiency.
• Ensure the consistent adherence to set policies and procedures and relevant industry legislation, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
• Maximise profits in each centre through strong financial management, evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Continue to promote and engage the Little Miracles brand and company vision and culture and ensuring the provision of strong educational programs that delivers relevant and age-appropriate curriculums that makes us leaders in the industry.
• Conducting in depth business analytics, insights, reporting and facilitating business improvement and supporting the Area managers and all in the Operations team
• Oversee accurate centre records related to enrolments, and all operational aspects.
• Regular weekly/monthly reporting to CEO and Board.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience in operations management with a minimum of 5 years senior leadership experience
• Business Degree or Diploma relevant to role
• Early Childhood Education and Care sector experience or similar is highly valued but not essential.
• Current Working with Children Check or able to obtain.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates or able to obtain.
• Child Protection Training – Identify and Respond or able to obtain.
