About The Head Of People Position
As the Head of People, responsible for steering HR and culture strategy, your role is pivotal in driving organisational success. Reporting directly to the GM People and Talent, you will play a crucial part in leading a dynamic team that shapes the work environment, retains top-tier talent, and aligns initiatives with core values and business objectives. Operating strategically, you will focus on ensuring operational excellence while maintaining a profound understanding of organizational behaviour and cultural dynamics. Your leadership skills will extend to the coaching and guidance of a large, geographically dispersed, multi-faceted team.
About You
To ensure your success in the role you must possess adaptability and resilience and be capable of handling a demanding workload and leading a high performing team. Experience in a startup environment with rapid growth is essential, requiring the ability to provide innovative solutions and navigate ambiguity. You are a proactive problem-solver with the capacity to make decisions with incomplete information. Strong employee relations expertise and award interpretation skills are crucial, along with exceptional communication abilities to manage diverse teams effectively. Additionally, strategic thinking and operational experience are essential for translating business objectives into HR initiatives and leveraging data for informed decision-making. It’s expected you will hold relevant tertiary and vocational HR qualifications along with over 10 years of proven leadership experience in a dynamic HR environment, encompassing a deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
