Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and aligning the Presales function with the overall business objectives to drive revenue growth.
- Team Management including hiring, mentoring, managing performance, assigning training and process improvement tasks.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support sales cycles, provide guidance on complex deals, and direct sales reps to the most relevant presales SME's within the business to services our customer requirements
- Process Development, establishing and improving presales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Customer Engagement, engage with key customers to understand their requirements, provide direction for appropriate technical support.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Sales Support, Professional Services teams to ensure alignment and drive customer success.
Skills and Experience:
- End to end Technology expertise with experience working for a local Managed Service Provider is highly regarded.
- Extensive Bid Management experience: Formulate and execute Bid Management strategy.
- Extensive Presales Experience: Significant experience in a presales role, preferably in a leadership or management capacity, demonstrating deep knowledge Of Presales processes, methodologies, and technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team and drive them towards common goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and develop and execute plans that align with business objectives.
- Customer-focused Mindset: A strong customer orientation, with the ability to understand customer needs, build relationships, and provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business principles and the ability to link presales activities to business outcomes and revenue growth.
- Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and key customers.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, e.g. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Vendor or Technical skills aligned to Presales streams managed, is helpful.
