The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Technology will lead and manage Technology team and functions. Working with your small team and 3rd party vendors, you will ensure that the organisation’s infrastructure and systems work to their optimum. You will be responsible for the development of the organisation’s systems and infrastructure whilst developing a strategy and vision for the technology department to deliver business goals. You will be expected to be the subject matter expert on all areas of Technology in the business, and be able to enunciate and advise the business on its technology goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and champion a cutting-edge ICT strategy, leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and value for money.
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of our ICT infrastructure, optimising service delivery potential while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive digital transformation and technological advancement across the organization.
- Develop and implement robust information security policies and controls to safeguard our data assets from internal and external threats.
- Establish and report on ICT governance frameworks to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Effectively engage with external vendors to negotiate contracts and monitor service levels for efficient ICT service delivery.
- Ensure the integrity and robustness of data and manage the delivery of data analytics and reporting across the business.
- Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline OR substantial experience in technology leadership.
- Minimum 5-10+ years in a Technology Senior Management position.
- Experience in building and delivering business cases with a clear return on investment rationale.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary ICT systems and initiatives.
- Experience in a complex organisation with a detailed understanding of ICT systems, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Skill in ICT strategic planning and roadmap development.
- Proven ability to engage and consult with stakeholders.
- Track record of successful technology implementations.
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
