In pursuit of excellence, they are actively searching for a seasoned and meticulous Head of Risk and Compliance to oversee and guarantee compliance with pertinent laws and regulations in their operations. The Role The pivotal role of the Head of Risk and Compliance involves spearheading the establishment and perpetuation of a compliance and risk management culture, ensuring regulatory adherence within the organization. This position demands a proactive and hands-on approach to assess, monitor, and mitigate risks while steadfastly ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Duties include: · Stay updated on all Australian financial services and credit regulations, including AFSL, ASIC, and ACL requirements. · Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to these regulations. · Establish and maintain a compliance monitoring program to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and systems. · Prepare and submit regular reports on compliance status to the senior management team, regulators, and licensing authorities as required. · Identify and assess regulatory and operational risks specific to the Australian market and develop strategies to mitigate them. · Provide compliance training and guidance to employees at all levels to ensure an understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape and the importance of compliance. · Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies. · Establish and manage a robust breach reporting system and process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant authorities. Your Profile The successful candidate will demonstrate: · Prior experience within the consumer lending industry, with a focus on AFSL, ASIC, ACL compliance · Deep knowledge of Australian financial services and credit regulations · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
