About the Role
Sport plays an important role in the growth and development of our students at Canberra Grammar School, helping foster curious, creative, confident and compassionate citizens of the world. The Head of Rowing holds a central role in overseeing all facets of the rowing program in collaboration with the Head of Sport and other senior leadership. This includes designing and implementing an innovative, inclusive and engaging rowing program that empowers our students to realise their full potential.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and overseeing an innovative, inclusive and engaging rowing program.
- Extensive knowledge and qualifications relating to rowing, including technical skills and coaching.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to create a positive culture within the sport of Rowing which reflects the values of the school, teamwork, inclusivity, excellence and sportsmanship.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and coach students of differing levels of ability across various age groups.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team of coaches.
- Experience in proactively managing workplace health and safety to prevent injuries and ensure safety of students, coaches, teachers, parents and other stakeholders.

- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
