The role
We are currently seeking a passionate Head of Sailing to take on this fantastic opportunity to lead the development of the School's Sailing program.
Reporting to the Director of Sport, the Head of Sailing will be responsible for ensuring the sport runs effectively from a coaching and operational perspective. The responsibilities of this role are vast as you will play a key role in coaching some of our teams and supporting the Director of Coaching with the engagement and development of other coaches in the program. In addition to this you will be responsible for managing the administrative side of the program including the competitions / championships for all of our sailing crew. This really is a great time to be joining our Sailing program as we have experienced much success at a local and National level over the past few years.
Applications are welcome from sailing coaches who are ready to take the next step in their career and can place importance on overseeing and engaging their coaching team.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, the successful applicant will require:
- An understanding of the demands of Sailing, from boat handling to weather conditions.
- The abilility to remain up to date with the latest tactical and technical trends and ideas in team Sailing.
- A State Maritime License.
- A Safetyboat Operator Certificate.
- Av Motorboat-Handling Qualification.
- At least one of the following three-tiered Australia Sailing coaching qualifications: 1. Tier One = Instructor 2. Tier Two = Racing Coach 3. Tier Three = Performance Coach
