The MLC Boarding House (Tiddeman House) is a friendly and homely community where over 100 girls from both local and rural Australia, together with international students feel safe and cared for in a supportive and well-structured environment. Boarding staff play a significant role in ensuring our boarders are motivated, enthused and valued. Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Act as Head of Boarding when required, ensuring smooth operations.
- Manage boarding staff roster and schedules for all activities.
- Develop and implement student wellbeing program.
- Coordinate weekend activities and excursions in line with safety guidelines.
- Oversee financial management and record-keeping.
- Assist in budget proposals and safety documentation.
- Foster a positive community atmosphere within the boarding house.
- Lead staff training and induction programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Provide leadership and support to boarding staff for positive team culture.
- Represent boarding leadership in college meetings and engage with stakeholders.
- Uphold college standards and engage in professional development.

- Tertiary qualification in education and the ability to be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- Previous experience in boarding schools.
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage the complexities of a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Be open to ideas, striving for excellence and have a high level of integrity
