About the Role
The Head of School (HOS) - Junior will work closely with the Principal and the school's leadership team to oversee the School's improvement agenda. The HOS - Junior will have the specific responsibilities relating to the leadership of the Junior School.
As the Head Of School - Junior responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure alignment across the school with the Junior Secondary ethos;
Develop and sustain productive relationships with our feeder school to enable effective transitions processes for students entering Year 7;
Provide shared leadership to ensure appropriate pedagogical practices are embedded within our Junior Secondary classrooms;
Develop and sustain effective data analysis processes to provide required information to inform school direction;
Organise student, parent and school community events to support the junior phase of learning;
Work collaboratively with the school leadership team on the implementation of identified strategies, processes and pedagogies;
Work collaboratively with the school leadership team to make decision about timetable offerings and associated time allocation.
