We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team in the role of Head of Student Success and Retention. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the provision of an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables our students to achieve their educational goals. This role will lead key functions including Student Wellbeing, Learning Skills, Student Support and Student Diversity and Inclusion to support great outcomes for students.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Proven senior leadership experience with a track record of delivering strategic initiatives.
- Excellent people leadership skills, with the ability to develop and engage multidisciplinary teams.
- Expertise in managing and supervising the provision of professional support services.
- Ability to deliver high-quality welfare and education support to a diverse student body, especially those with special needs.
- Strong decision-making skills to support students and GOTAFE in crisis or early intervention situations.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with a variety of stakeholders including students, parents, medical professionals, and government authorities.
- Experience overseeing funding contract management, reporting, and grant submission development, with the ability to efficiently handle contracts, funding, and complex budgets.
If you are successful in this role, you will be required to provide:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in and education and business-related field
- Senior management experience in education support.
- A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
- A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
- A current Driver’s Licence (Car).
