About the role
Bradfield Senior College has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational educator to lead the English/History faculty in an innovative senior high school.
The Head teacher position is an integral part of the senior leadership team which contributes to the development of whole school vision and values.
The successful applicant will have capacity to lead the development and implementation of innovative, differentiated, and high-quality teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of Bradfield students. Applicants should demonstrate exemplary teaching and proven ability to lead their team in the analysis of data and implement evidence-based pedagogical practice to improve student outcomes.
The position also requires leading and driving initiatives that promote cross curricula learning in the College.
About You
To be considered for the position you will have:
Tertiary teaching qualifications and Stage 6 experience in HSC.
Demonstrated innovation in an educational context, which may include learning support, student development, cross-curricular projects, project-based learning, use of technology, student engagement, industry/community involvement etc.
Demonstrated experience in supporting a diverse range of students encompassing welfare and learning.
Demonstrated leadership skills in delivering programs/projects, working with a range of staff and students.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with students, parents, and Bradfield staff.
Strong administrative skills and experience in planning and management of faculty resources
Experience in and/or detailed knowledge of TAFE NSW, Department of Education and New South Wales Education Standards Authority policies and procedures.
